My job is not okay, or perhaps even manageable even only for another year.
My job just sucks.

You can still make a new job happen if it's what you want. Don't give up. There's no reason you should stick with something that isn't making you happy. You can do it!!
I know how you feel. But my escape route may be a little drastic for you at this point!
ugh, that's an awful situation to be in...kinda like being with an INSANE crazy roommate until your lease ends in 3 months :( *sigh*
buck up, of course you'll get a better job.
But don't resort to getting knocked up (a la the editter) 'cos you'll end up staying for the months leading up to the birth just so's you can get the paid maternity leave...
